ARTIFACT:  This is a World War II US Army Air Forces training patch for WASPs (Women Air Force Service Pilots). It shows an owl alongside some lightning bolts.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately: 4-7/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidery thread on wool felt.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX06 SLAAJJX1/12 TLAAEJX12/24

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The patch shows Minor wear and aging, mostly to edge and image 3 shows Moth nips.
