ARTIFACT: This is a WWII United States Army Air Forces Headquarters shoulder patch in felt with no border, used and lightly soiled, most likely worn on flight clothing. The patch shows a winged star at its center in orange "Skeleton" wing embroidery.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 2 ¾" round.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: N/A

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX12 LAHX12/14

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Patch was most likely worn on flight clothing, shows a nip and some light soiling.
