ARTIFACT: This is a jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 869th Bomber Squadron, 497th Bomber Group, 20th Air Force. The patch shows a tough guy in a bowler hat walking on a cloud with a missile.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 5-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Royal blue chenille patch embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads with a dirigible skin backing.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: Original manufacturer's label attached: AKRON FELT & CHENILLE CO. 38 3/2 EAST MARKET AKRON OH.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJJX09 LGJJX

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Patch shows some wear and a few very slight spots of discoloration.
