ARTIFACT: This is a United States Army Air Forces 85th Fighter Squadron, 79th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force, 12th Air Force jacket patch. The patch shows a winged death's head (skull).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 3-1/4" wide by 3-1/4" high.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather with a painted image.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a garment.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection, which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX98 LDEJX

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Very minor wear; slight cracking on the painted image.
