ARTIFACT: This is a United States Army Air Forces 393rd Bomb Squadron, 509th Composite Group, 20th Air Force patch. The 509th CG was part of the Atom bombing of Hirsoshima. The patch is oval and shows a fishing lure at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 5-3/4" in width by 2-7/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidery thread on cotton twill.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. REJL98 LEEJX04/05 SLHGEX06/20 SGHEX07/20

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Minor wear, mostly to edges and minor soiling.
