ARTIFACT: WWII United States Army Air Forces 391st Bomb Squadron (Heavy), 34th Bomb Group US-made jacket patch. Eventually in the European Theater of Operations (ETO) with the 8th Air Force, but this patch pre-dates that and resembles a tribal bird.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/8" in height x 4-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered wool felt, silk/cotton thread, gauze backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBX16 LEGEX10/16 SEGEX05/26/23

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows minor wear and soiling, small spot of red ink on reverse, the colors remain bright, overall excellent condition.
