ARTIFACT:
Here is a World War II United States Army reversible Mountain Troops parka in size medium by McCreery Manufacturing Company. The parka is a pull-over style, has a coyote fur-lined hood and is light olive drab on one side and winter white on the other. The parka has a very been-there look!
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Size M. Jacket is approximately 31-1/2" (shoulder seam to cuff), 25-1/2" (armpit to armpit), 23-1/2" (across back shoulder to shoulder) and about 35" from base of hood to hem.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Cotton/canvas, coyote fur, resin buttons, cord.
ATTACHMENT:
Buttons at neckline, cuffs and on pockets; drawstring at neckline and bottom.
MARKINGS:
MEDIUM PARKA (?)-REVERSIBLE FUR TRIMMED McCREERY MFG. CO. DATED 1942 (more on hard-to-read tag in pocket).

CONDITION:
6 (Fine+): The parka has some scattered small spots of light to medium wear and discoloration on the olive side and heavy wear with several stained areas on the white side; no rips.
