ARTIFACT: This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 97th Field Artillery Battalion. The DI is a gold and red crest with its two halves separated by a jagged line. There is a cannon in the lower half and a scroll at the bottom that reads ME SEMPER ARCESSUNT (they always send me).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 15/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.
This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VB/EJ95 LBDX10/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some very small spots of light wear.
