ARTIFACT: This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 3rd Armored Field Artillery Regiment, which decades later became the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment. The DI is a crest divided by a chevron bearing four stars, and shows a lion's head, dragon and fleur-de-lis. At the top of the Di is a rising sun and an Aztec banner.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in height 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL95 LBDX11/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some light wear and tarnish.
