ARTIFACT: This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 169th Infantry Regiment. The DI shows two diagonal blue banners separating a fleur-de-lis from a prickly pear cactus. At the DI's top is a lion passant, and the DI reads ARMIS STANT LEGIS (laws are maintained by force of arms).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAX96 LBDX10/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some slight abrasions to the enamel.
