ARTIFACT: This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Tench SS-417, launched on July 7, 1944 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard. Tench had four kills in World War II and was placed in reserve after the war.

VINTAGE: Circa 1944.

SIZE: About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Foiled cardstock.

ATTACHMENT: Silk string.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): This tag has very minor wear, and the tag you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.
