ARTIFACT: This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Sea Cat SS-399, launched from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on February 21, 1944. Sea Cat earned three battle stars for her World War II service and was one of only a dozen ships in Tokyo Bay at the time of the Japanese surrender.

VINTAGE: Circa 1944.

SIZE: Approximately 1-11/16" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Foiled card stock.
