ARTIFACT: This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Razorback SS-394, which was launched January 27, 1944 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard, sharing the spotlight with the USS Ronquil and the USS Redfish. She finished out her World War II service as one of only a dozen ships present in Tokyo Bay at the time of the Japanese surrender.

VINTAGE: Circa 1944.

SIZE: About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Foiled card stock.

ATTACHMENT: Silk string.

MARKINGS: None.
