ARTIFACT:
This is a hardcover copy of "Reminiscences of Your "Hitch" in the United States Coast Guard During World War II", a pictorial record of the United States Coast Guard Temporary Reserve activities in Division 5A, First Naval District, Boston, Massachusetts. The book comes with a 1943 enrollment certificate and a 1945 citation awarded to the book's original owner, Raymond C. Bezanson, Seaman 1st Class, of Flotilla 523. The book has many group photos of the reservists and a cool aerial shot of the Army Base in Boston.
VINTAGE:
Certificates are from World War II; book published December 1946 (post-World War II).
SIZE:
Book: 96 pages; approximately 9-3/16" in height and 11-5/8" in width; certificates: approximately 8-1/2" in height x 11" in width.

Embossed cloth-bound cover, glossy paper, paper certificates.
