ARTIFACT: This is a World War II Minnesota Defense Force (aka State Guard) distinctive collar insignia by Wendell's of Minneapolis and shows the state's seal and motto, "L'Etoile du Nord" (The Star of the North).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin on bar with C catch.

MARKINGS: WENDELLS INC. MPLS; PAT NO. 206696 on bar.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The insignia shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish.
