ARTIFACT: Fabulous, WWII Italian-made US Army Air Forces 12th AF souvenir ashtray in glass with sterling silver overlay, this is the only one I've ever seen. The ashtray is blue glass and features a silver overlay, five-pointed winged star with the number twelve in the center.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 2 ¼" x 1 ½"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Glass and sterling.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX15 LAGEX1/15 SLABEX5/16 SAAEX6/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The ashtray shows some wear, mostly to edges and there are small spots with flecks missing that do not detract from overall piece. Nearly all of the sterling overlay details remain intact.
