ARTIFACT: This is a World War II Hamilton Propellers Mechanic School overseas cap patch as worn by members of the United States Army Air Forces and United States Navy. Hamilton Standard Propellers was created by the merger of Hamilton Aero Manufacturing and Standard Steel Propeller in 1929, and at the time was the biggest aircraft propeller maker anywhere. The oblong patch is a fully embroidered and shows a propeller at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 15/16” in height and 2-11/16” in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk thread.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light wear.
