ARTIFACT: This is a World War II shoulder patch with a green back for the United States Army Military District of Washington, a major Army command. The patch is oval and shows the Washington Monument with a sword on a diagonal to the structure at its center. Green back, Olive Drab Backed, O/D Back, OD Back, Greenback.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAL94 LBCX5/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows some light wear along its edge.
