ARTIFACT: This is a World War II era Imperial Japan Order of the Rising Sun, 8th Class medal.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height x 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver, silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Hanger, suspension ring.

MARKINGS: "勲功旌章"　read, "KUN KOU SEI SYO" meaning "Praise achievements".

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows minor to little wear, overall very fine condition.
