ARTIFACT:
This is a nice United States Army 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division officer's insignia grouping originally belonging to Walter F. McLane of Tampa, Florida. The grouping includes a numbered purple heart medal and ribbon bar, a one piece 82nd Airborne patch and two other patches (an overseas officer's cap patch and a 17th Airborne patch with separate AIRBORNE tab), a rifle badge, two "US" collar insignia, three ribbon bars, a dog tag for Captain McLane, a combat infantry badge, a glider specialist badge, two DI for the 325th, a bar, three embroidered captain's bars (one in bullion) and one insignia on wool.
