ARTIFACT: This is a nice circa 1940s (or possibly World War II) Civil Defense Auxiliary Police Department hat badge from Derry, New Hampshire. Some notable residents of Derry in the past were astronaut Alan Shepard and poet Robert Frost. The badge has an enameled blue center and a painted white triangle with red lettering.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s (or WWII).

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 1-11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel, painted areas.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing, stabilization post.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old Civil Defense badge collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJX14 LAAEX8/14 SAAEX1/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light wear and some very small spots of discoloration to the painted area.
