ARTIFACT: This is a World War I volunteer Franco-American Brigade lapel badge. The badge reads BRIGADE DE VOLONTAIRES FRANCO-AMERICAINS DIEU, PATRIE ET LIBERTE (God, Country and Liberty). The pin shows the United States and French flags crossed and the cameos of two men at center.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: 11/16" height and 7/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel accents.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: N/A.
