ARTIFACT: This is a World War I United States Navy officer's sword belt. The belt was made in England and has a stamp on the reverse of the large and very nice buckle.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Size 32 stamp. Approximately by 33-1/2" in length (not including buckle) and 1-3/4" in width; buckle measures 1-15/16" in diameter; sword strap is 37" in total length (including connectors).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather, brass.

ATTACHMENT: Main buckle with clip, rectangular buckle with prong, two clips on reverse fastening sword strap to belt, U hook hanging from belt, two connectors on sword strap.

MARKINGS: MADE IN ENGLAND on reverse of buckle; 32 and some numbers on very hard to read stamp (see photo).

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The belt is still supple with some areas of light to moderate wear, mainly at the ends, and some light tarnish. Both buckles have some oxidation between along their edges.
