ARTIFACT: This is a pair of World War I United States Army officer's leather boots. The boots were originally owned by a World War I pilot and flight instructor. The boots have many areas of moderate wear but are handsome and still in wearable condition. Two striped straps are attached inside the boot shaft for securing pants inside. Beautiful cognac coloring.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: No size tag. Sole measures 3-7/8" by 11-3/4"; total height: 17-1/2"; heel height: 7/8"; 8-1/4" across top of boot (measured flat).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather, wood soles.

ATTACHMENT: Two straps inside each boot, loop at top.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The boots have many areas of moderate wear, especially at the toes, but are still in very wearable condition.
