ARTIFACT: WWI 6th New Zealand (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles cap badge. The center of the badge reads: "6TH NZ" surrounded by a wreath and topped with a royal crown, a scroll along the bottom reads: "MANAWATU MOUNTED RIFLES". The 6th squadron fought in the Middle Eastern Theater during WWI and participated in the Battle of Gallipoli.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" x 1-7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped, blackened bronze

ATTACHMENT: Two loops/lugs and cotter pin

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The cap badge shows minor to moderate wear and verdigris, handsome patina, overall very fine condition.
