ARTIFACT:
What we have here is a wonderful and rare Vietnam War era Air America Flight Crew Shirt Size 1/2 Wing in the Original Box of Issue from the manufacturer.
The wing is made of coin silver, and the border of the shield and wording AIR AMERICA have both been hand chased to enhance the appearance of the wing.
Air America was an American passenger and cargo airline established in 1946 as Chinese National Relief and Rehabilitation Administration
(CNRRA) Air Transport, later changing its name to Civil Air Transport (CAT).
CAT was covertly owned and operated by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
from 1950 to 1976, changing its name to AIR AMERICA in 1959. It supplied and
supported covert operations in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War, including
providing support for drug smuggling in Laos.
VINTAGE:
Vietnam War era.
SIZE:
Approximately: Wing: 1/2" in height x 1-3/16" in width.

Coin Silver.
