ARTIFACT: Wonderful and rare 1870's United States Naval Academy Midshipman Shoulder Knots. The embroidered wool felt knots display lovely anchor and chain details surrounded with beautiful bullion embroidery detail. The Knots are padded and backed with gauze and linen.

VINTAGE: Circa 1870's

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/2" x 1" (at top) and 2" (bottom)

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bullion embroidered wool felt, padding, gauze, linen

ATTACHMENT: N/A

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Naval Academy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DMB-VEJJX15 LHGEX7/16

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The shoulder knots show moderate wear, the back linen layer is cut on one and missing on the other, and this does not detract. They were removed from clothing and the much of the bullion detail remains intact, overall handsome patina.
