ARTIFACT:
This is a wonderful, large, and iconic Old West circa 1880's - 1890's Constable circle star badge. This badge is light on the detail, but it is highly convex, which was accomplished by hand hammered repousse work, and it was hand lettered. The lettering and embellishment at bottom are filled with old "Jeweler's Black".
VINTAGE:
Circa 1880's - 1890's.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-1/8" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Nickel Plated Nickel with jeweler's black in the details.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal one piece pin with open catch.
