ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful World War II Civil Defense Air Raid Warden helmet. It is hand-painted and reads 1 ZONE WARDEN across the front and has the Civil Defense logo on each side. The helmet came to us with an arm band (listed separately – please see link at bottom of page for details).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: The head opening is approximately 9-1/4" by 8", and the helmet stands about 6-1/4" tall.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted steel, nylon, leather.

ATTACHMENT: Buckled strap with snap.

MARKINGS: The only marking inside is a stamped logo Mc inside an oval (see photo).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Civil Defense collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAGX12 LABEX10/12 SeAFEX2/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The helmet has some small spots of light to medium wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
