ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful circa 1900's - 1910's police badge from Douglas, Arizona. The badge is a six-pointed star with nice engraved detailing on the arms on the stars. The badge is numbered 4 on the front.

Douglas was founded in 1901 and incorporated in 1905: it is possible that this badge is from the Territorial period, and is the first issue badge from the town.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with a rectangular saddle plate.

MARKINGS: LOS ANGELES

RUBBER
STAMP CO.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEJJX13 LAGEJX2/13 SAEJJX3/13

CONDITION: 5 (Very Good - Fine): The badge shows some small areas of moderate to heavy wear on front, and some great patinia, and possible repair to the pin, on back. It has a great "been there" look.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
