ARTIFACT:
Wonderful circa 1920 1921 United States Marine Corps Aviation 'wing' wall plaque made in Dominican Republic. The center shows an eagle, wings spread and standing atop an anchor and globe, the globe shows the North and South American continents and longitude and latitude lines. The center is flanked on either side with wings showing nice feathered details. The reverse shows two screws with a wire connecting for wall hanging.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1920 1921.
SIZE:
Approximately 11-3/16" in length x 2-7/8" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Either solid cast nickel or heavily nickel-plated cast brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Two screws with a wire connecting for wall hanging.

CONDITION:
9- (Excellent+): The wall plaque shows minor wear, small spot of oxidation to reverse. nearly all the nickel plating remains intact, overall excellent condition.
