ARTIFACT: Wonderful 1930's Japanese Fire Chief Jacket from Fire Company #5 in heavy woven cotton. The black, red, and white jacket reads: "CHIEF" on the front in Japanese kanji and the reverse shows a number "5". The inside of the jacket is beautifully decorated with fire and firefighting symbols.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's

SIZE: Measures Armpit to armpit: 27"; Shoulder to shoulder (across back): 28" Collar to hem: 36-1/2"; Shoulder to cuff: 14"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Heavy woven cotton

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: Japanese kanji
