ARTIFACT: This is a Well Duty Worn circa 1970 Los Angeles County California Deputy Sheriff Badge #4130 by Entenmann Rovin.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970.

SIZE: Approximately 3" in height x 2-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Carltone gold, and Nickel with hard-fired blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.

MARKINGS:

ENTENMANN - ROVIN CO.
        GENUINE
"CARLTONE GOLD"
PICO RIVERA, CALIF.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDEJL23 LADIEX04/30/23 SADEJX05/23/23

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): Heavily worn and polished, this badge has seen some serious duty. There are some minor chips and cracks to the enamel, and all of the gold has been worn/polished off the obverse of the badge. And all of the details of the bear at center, the high point of the badge, have been worn off as well. And the bear is a screw-on piece, so apparently this was not the first bear to be subjected to heavy wear by the Deputy. Probably making the bear "replaceable" with a screwback was easier than having to rivet a new one back on every year or 2.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
