ARTIFACT:
This is a Vintage 1970's Zuni Inlay Mickey Mouse Ring by Mary Ann Poncho Size 6. Zuni jewelry showing cartoon characters like this are lovingly called Zuni Toons.
She started producing jewelry in 1953 and was active until 1975. Her husband Charlie Poncho is a well-known Zuni Artist as well.
Her work is featured in several high-end galleries, collections, and in the major Native Jewelry catalogs and reference books.
This is stamped with the hallmark "M.P. Zuni".
VINTAGE:
1960's - 1970's.
SIZE:
Size 6. Approximately: 1-3/8 in height x 3/4" in width. (Image 1)
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Zuni Silver, Shell, Jet, Turquoise, & Coral.
