ARTIFACT: Great vintage 1958 sterling steer head trophy buckle by Frontier Buckles for the Top Hand at a rodeo in Missouri. The center of the buckle shows a nicely detailed steer's head against a silver buckle with ornate hand-engraved embellishments and along the top it reads: "TOP HAND 1958 SKIDMORE, MO". The reverse shows a maker's mark that reads: "FRONTIER BUCKLES, STERLING, HAND ENGRAVED"

VINTAGE: Circa 1958

SIZE: Approximately 3-7/8" x 2-3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: lacquered Bronze, sterling, hand engraved.

ATTACHMENT: Hook and loop/lug

MARKINGS: "FRONTIER BUCKLES", "STERLING", "HAND ENGRAVED"

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The buckle shows moderate to heavy wear and surface scratches, handsome patina on brass, overall very fine condition.
