ARTIFACT:
This is a vintage 1950 fraternity membership lapel pin in 14 karat gold for Delta Sigma Rho Fraternity. The triangle shaped center of the pin, outlined with roped detail, displays a five pointed star with the three Greek letters of the fraternity below and the embossed date: "April 13th, 1906", the year the fraternity was established. The reverse of the pin is engraved with the lovely detail and script writing that reads: "R.E. HADDLETON BOSTON UNIV. 1952", the year of Mr. Haddleton's graduation. There is a loop catch at the top making the piece wearable as a pendant also, (weighing 2.44 penny weights)

Circa 1950.

Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 9/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
14 karat gold (2.44 dwt).

Vertical pin with drop-in swivel locking catch, suspension loop.
