ARTIFACT: This is a very rare United States Army Air Forces Technical Training Command (TTC) flight instructor wing in sterling silver. The wing has a nicely enameled crest at its center showing the "lamp of knowledge" with three feathers and reads SUSTINEO ALAS (I Sustain the Wings).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1" height and 3" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRCEX00 LFGEX1/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): This wing has light wear and a handsome tarnish and all enamel is intact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
