ARTIFACT: This is a very rare 1920s numbered AAA race mechanic (or here called a "mechanician") license badge. AAA began in 1902 when a handful of motor clubs banded together to address the need for more accessible and safe roadways for automobiles.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height and in 5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing and one stabilization post.

MARKINGS: Initials (CLX?) carved on backing.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some light discoloration and wear.
