ARTIFACT:
This is a Very Early,1915-1916's New York Sec. of State's Office Automobile Bureau Special Inspector Badge by Dieges & Clust. The brass badge shows the state seal in the center with the word: "EXCELSIOR" beneath. Surrounding the center blue enamel that reads: SECRETARY OF STATES OFFICE AUTOMOBILE BUREAU". The badge is topped with an eagle and beneath it reads: "SPECIAL INSPECTOR", "1915 1916" and between the blue enameled details showing the date, it displays the number: "235".
