ARTIFACT: Very cool WWII United States Submarine plaque from Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co., Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Homefront piece made by a War Worker building subs, made using material that would be used on subs, Bakelite-type brown/black plastic, sheet copper, and brass rivets. RARE!

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 8-3/4" x 3"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Two-piece, riveted construction, Bakelite-type brown/black plastic, sheet copper, and brass rivets

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Submarine and Naval Base Homefront collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAAJX15 LBFEX10/15

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The submarine plaque shows moderate to heavy wear, the Bakelite-type plastic shows a light film overall, the copper has a handsome patina.
