ARTIFACT: This is a theatre-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 553rd Field Artillery Battalion. The insignia is a crest with a latticed pattern and a curved arrow traveling around a star.

VINTAGE: Circa 1946.

SIZE: 1-1/4" height and 15/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with multi-colored enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: N/A.
