ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 278th Armored Infantry Battalion by Vanguard. The DI shows three blue stars with a chevron breaking through the line, meant to represent the 278th breaking of the Hindenburg Line at during World War I. The DI reads FUSTEST WITH THE MOSTEST.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: VANGUARD IV NY.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LCFX10/11 SCFX2/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some small spots of light wear to the enamel.
