ARTIFACT: This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 18th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a crest with several symbols, including two fleur-de-lis, two crossed arrows, a figure 8, a bolo and a saltire cross. The DI reads IN OMNIA PARATUS (in all things prepared).

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.
This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LAJX10/11

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light abrasions and there is some slight oxidation at the pin juncture.
