ARTIFACT: This is an unusual 1943 North African souvenir or sweetheart pin in silver-plated brass from Tunisia. The fantastic design shows a camel, a mosque and a large palm tree.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under swivel catch (pin appears to have had a period repair by a US jeweler after the pin was sent home to the GI's sweetheart).

MARKINGS: None.
