ARTIFACT: This is a unique gold and silver plated World War I Service Home Front Ship Building War Worker badge. This badge is usually found made in blackened bronze, making this badge very unique. In the center of the badge is a submarine, and on the reverse is an engraving of the badge number "70692.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately: 1-9/16" x 1-7/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold and Silver plated Bronze

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with tongue type C catch

MARKINGS: "WAR SERVICE SHIP BUILDING 70692."

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): It has some wear, with moderate tarnish in the center, stripping some of the plating.
