This is a paperback first edition copy of "The Guns: 1914-18", Weapons Book Number 27 in the Ballantine's Illustrated History of the Violent Century series. Written by Ian V. Hogg, this volume is about the types of artillery used throughout the Great War by both sides, the challenges facing the artillerymen and a brief history of gun-making going back into the late nineteenth century. It has several black and white photographs and was published in 1971.
