ARTIFACT:
This is a scarce hardcover copy of the United States Navy book entitled: "The 7th Log: A Battalion Picture Biography". The book is a World War II account of the activities of the 7th Naval Construction Battalion. Also known as "Seabees", members of the Naval Construction Battalions were responsible for many engineering tasks, including building of docks and piers. This book has a roster as well as several photos documenting the travels of the 7th throughout the Pacific Theatre.
VINTAGE:
Circa post-World War II (1945?).
SIZE:
131 pages with black and white photographs; approximately 11-3/8" in height and 8-7/8" in width and 5/8" in thickness.

Embossed cloth-bound cover, glossy paper.
