ARTIFACT:
This is a unit history of the United States Army Air Forces 15th Air Force ("The 15th Over Italy"). The center spread of the book shows the wings and groups associated with the 15th, each as an airplane, and their squadrons as bombs or other devices. In addition to action photos, the book has many photos from the Italian towns and cities visited by the 15th. The book was published in 1947 in Los Angeles, California.
VINTAGE:
Circa post-World War II (1947).
SIZE:
78 pages with a black and white photographs and illustrations; approximately 10-5/8" in height and 8-1/4" in width.
