ARTIFACT: This is a Texas Militia Insignia star with "H" for the company or owners initial. This piece was excavated in Galveston, Texas.

VINTAGE: Circa Civil War.

SIZE: About 2-1/16" in width by 2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 4- (Good&emdash;Very Good): Minor to moderate wear to surface of the front; moderate corrosion to the back.
