ARTIFACT: Summer, 1940 The Battle of Britain by Roger Parkinson and jacket design by Sam Salant. This 1st Edition (Book Club Edition) was published in 1977 by David McKay Company, Inc. New York. Roger Parkinson is a noted military historian, his book is illustrated with maps and photographs and provides an in depth examination of the conditions that contributed to the events of the Summer of 1940 and the Battle of Britain.
